The Calhoun Area Writers will be hosting their 2017 Northwest Georgia Writers Conference. This is a two day event with starting on Friday May 19th featuring Joni Harbin a local comedian.
We are having our March meeting tonight at the regular location. We are also having refreshments for this meeting. Come and mingle with the members of your local Rome Area Writers tonight and listen to some flash fiction.
Other announcements for those interested:
- The Writers Forum for 2017 has been cancelled.
- Big Fibbers will be having their 3rd annual Big Fibbers Storytelling Festival March 15-21. Check out the schedule and you might find a few names you know.
We look forward to seeing you tonight for the meeting at the Library.
I am very sorry to inform you all that our Writers Forum, scheduled for Saturday, March 11th, has been cancelled due to a low number of registrations. Unfortunately, at this point we would not break even if we held the event. We held out as long as we could in hopes of more registrations coming in, but we are now out of time.
Of course, everyone who has registered will be refunded completely.
As you can imagine, this is quite embarrassing for Rome Area Writes, and we are very sorry for any disappointment or inconvenience this cancellation may cause you.
Please accept our sincerest apologies for this unfortunate turn of events.
Save the Date!
