The yearly collaboration between the Rome Art Coterie and Rome Area Writers will take place Tuesday October 11 in the Coosa Room at the library 6 to 8 p.m. The prompt is Façade. The visual artists and literary artists will create works based on this prompt. It’s free, open to the public, and refreshments will be served. Please note that this meeting will be the October meeting for Rome Area Writers. We will NOT meet on the second Thursday of October.
The next meeting of the Rome Area Writers will be on September 8th at 6 p.m. We will meet in the Etowah Room of the Rome-Floyd County Library. Joe Cook, local author and advocate of the Coosa River Basin Initiative, will discuss his latest published book about the Broad River. Members will also share their stories, poems or essays on this month’s prompt, “Labor.” The meeting is open to the public.
The deadline for submissions to our 16th Lavender Mountain Anthology is September 8. All paid members of RAW are encouraged to submit something. If you want to know more, come to our next meeting August 11! We will meet at 6:00, in the Etowah room of the Rome/Floyd Library.
